How To Make Your Own Knock Off Lysol Disinfectant Spray

How to make all kinds of disinfectant sprays, including knock off febreeze.I know it can get expensive buying brand name disinfectant spray, but this time of year there is so much going around, and it’s better to kill the germs than end up laying on the couch sick for a week with the whole family. In the winter we don’t have the doors open as much, and everyone is inside. So, it is important to disinfect the house regularly to keep the germs away.

Different areas of the home need different kinds of disinfectants. For example, a kitchen surface needs a different disinfectant than bathroom tiles or  tubs. Here are a few easy to make recipes to make disinfectant sprays using the products available in all homes:

Spray 1
Items needed
– Hydrogen Peroxide (3 % Solution)
– Spray Nozzles (2)
– Spray Bottle  (1)
– White Vinegar

1. Since hydrogen peroxide is available in a bottle, it is best to leave it in the bottle and replace the cap with a spray nozzle. 2. Fill the empty bottle with vinegar and close the bottle with the second nozzle. 3. The  disinfectant is ready. Spray the house first with the hydrogen peroxide solution and then follow with the vinegar.
NOTE: Never combine the two liquids or pour them in the same bottle.

Spray 2
This spray works in two steps. The first step is to clean with a mild dish-washing liquid and the second step is disinfecting.
Items Needed
– Water – Rubbing Alcohol (65% USP)
– Dish-washing Soap
– Spray  Nozzles (2)
– Spray Bottles (2)
1. Mix equal quantities of water and alcohol in a bottle with spray nozzle.  2. In another bottle, mix 1 tablespoon of dishwashing soap with a bottle of water.  3. The area to be cleaned should be sprayed with the dishwashing soap and let it remain for a while. 4. The second step involves spraying the alcohol solution on the contact points.

Spray 3 Disinfectant Spray for Tiles and Tubs
Items Needed
– Vinegar
– Dish-washing Liquid
– Spray Bottle (1)
– Spray Nozzle  (1)
This spray works as a cleaner and a  disinfectant. The dish-washing liquid works as a degreaser, cleaning tiles and tubs, while the vinegar acts as a disinfectant. 1. Mix equal quantities of vinegar and dish-washing liquid in a spray bottle. Cap the bottle with a spray nozzle.  2. Shake the bottle well, spray on the greasy or dirty tiles, and let it sit for a few minutes. 3. Wipe the tiles and tub with a clean cloth.

Spray 4 – Lemon Disinfectant Spray
Items Needed
– Spray Bottle (1)
– Distilled Water to fill the bottle
– Lemon  Essential Oil (30 drops)
This disinfectant works wells on kitchen countertops, linens and doorknobs. 1. Pour distilled water into a spray bottle. 2. Add 30 drops of lemon  essential oil. 3. Shake the bottle well so that the two liquids mix well.  4. Spray the disinfectant on doorknobs, countertops and faucets. It is a  good disinfectant for linens too.
These disinfectant sprays are made using products found in every home, and use natural ingredients for cleaning and disinfecting and are safe to use.
